Eco awareness is a very important process that should strat at early childhood age, and that's exactly what we do. We make courses for different target groups starting from game oriented events in early childhood, school, college to much more complicated informational campaigns for adults.

We focus on the small things. We focus on the small steps we can take to aid the nature.
If we cannot help, can we atleast not harm?
We have to be aware before we can help.
Everyone knows the climate is changing, everyone is aware humans have great impact with mother nature but we (the people) generally think we are part of the problem and someone else should be part of the solution. We have news for You: that's totally wrong and we ought to be part of the solution in every aspect of our life in every routine we do. We can change our behavior in a way that we can help the nature or atleast not harm. While we teach children to turn off the water when they wash their teeth we teach their parents to pick the products at the grocery store that were made closer to their home with less energy consumption and everyday tricks to recycle and lower their environmental footprint.

We found out the best approach with children is trough technology.
Modern tools and gadgets help us save energy and harm our panet a bit less.
A modern vehicle will burn a lot less fuel than Your grandpa's car and will even emit no greenhouse gases.

Content

Theory, behavior, inovation.
First we start with the theory, then we move to different case studies and finally we demonstrate in practise while incorporating modern tools.

Target audience

We have different approach for different target groups. While we organize games for children, we prefer a more direct approach with adults.

Plans for 2018-2020

In late 2018 and early 2019 we will begin engaging with local Bulgarian kindergartens. Our partners estimated that families with combined net income lower than €1600 per month cannot afford green ecofriendly technologies in their homes, the lower the income the greater their environmental footprint is. Upper class families benefit from smart homes, renewable energy, zero emission homes, energy efficient technologies, drive newer and greener cars, while the poorest families live in poorly insulated homes, drive old and inefficient vehicles, burn coal and wood and leave a large environmental footprint.
While we cannot redesign every home and alter the behavior of the masses, we may try to educate the children and aid their everyday routine...

Please note we will not accept applications from private kindergartens, we only work with publicly operated institutions.

Our purpose

A SHELTER Foundation is a cause based non for profit charity foundation which means we will not work for profit. The purpose of this foundation is to accumulate capital to invest in charity causes while also educating the masses regarding various environmental problems

Our mission

A SHELTER Foundation is oriented towards the environmental problems caused by humans interacting the nature. We want to recover the equilibrium by developing projects, causes and initiatives to restore the health in the ecosystems.
